| Hand Disinfection |

|
Hands need to be disinfected using a disinfectant with proven efficacy for the "limited virucidal activity" spectrum after direct contact with patients, contact with material containing pathogens and contaminated objects as well as after removing gloves before leaving the sluice (recommendations of the Robert Koch Institute for hygiene measures for patients with suspected or confirmed influenza).
B. Braun recommends the following disinfectants from its product range for hand disinfection:

Hand disinfectant for normal skin
Properties:
- Ready-to-use alcoholic solution for hygienic and surgical hand disinfection
- Active against bacteria incl. MRSA, mycobacteria, fungi, viruses (HBV /HIV / HCV, herpes simplex, vaccinia rota, noro)
- Long-term action
- Contains dermoprotectors and moisturiser
- Active ingredients: 73.4 g ethanol (100%) and 10 g propan-2-ol per 100 g solution
- Tested in vitro and according to EN 1500, EN 12791
Advantages:
- Large spectrum of activity and of application
- Active even after 3 hours
- Skin-friendly and protects against water
- Complies with European norms
- Time to take effect: 15 seconds for hygienic hand disinfection, 3 minutes for surgical hand disinfection

Alcoholic disinfectant for the hands; for sensitive and dry skin
Properties:
- Ready-to-use alcoholic solution for surgical and hygienic hand disinfection
- Active against bacteria incl. MRSA, mycobacteria (M. terrae), fungi, viruses ( HBV / HIV / HCV, herpes simplex , vaccinia, rota, noro, adeno)
- Contains dermoprotectors and moisturiser
- Dermatologically tested
- Active ingredients: 45 g ethanol (100%) and 18 g propan-1-ol per 100 ml solution
- Tested according to prEN12054/13727, EN 1275, EN 14348, EN 13624, EN 1500, EN 12791
